<idAbs>Dewberry subcontracted Digital Aerial Solutions (DAS) to acquire approximately 787 square miles of 4-band digital stereo aerial imagery in Leon County, Florida in February 2022 using a LEICA ADS100 aerial mapping camera. DAS performed the aerial triangulation and orthorectification to produce 0.5 foot pixel resolution digital orthophotos. Dewberry collected surveyed ground control points that were used in the aerial triangulation process. The data were formatted according to the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) tile naming convention with each tile covering an area of 5,000 by 5,000 feet. A total of 876 ortho tiles in GeoTiff format were produced for the project. This dataset is part of a regularly schedule update of lidar and digital orthophotography products.</idAbs>

<stepDesc>Data for the Leon County Aerial Imagery Project was acquired by Digital Aerial Solutions, LLC (DAS). The project area included approximately 786 contiguous square miles for Leon County, Florida. The imagery collected was collected by Digital Aerial Solutions, LLC (DAS) using a LECIA ADS100 digital aerial mapping camera. The data were delivered in the State Plane coordinate system, U.S. Survey Feet, Florida North, horizontal datum NAD83 (2011), vertical datum NAVD88, Geoid 12B. A combination of airborne kinematic GPS/IMU and standard ground control points was used to control the images for aerial triangulation (AT). All aerial images were controlled using airborne kinematic GPS and IMU positioning techniques with sufficient accuracy to control the bundle adjustment. Fifty one (51) ground control points were surveyed by Dewberry to control the aerial imagery. Three (3) of these control points were existing painted targets used in previous airborne surveys in Leon County. All control points are located at well-defined photo-identifiable positions. Softcopy analytical AT was done using Leica XPro imagery postprocessing software. The process included automatic point matching (measuring) and a leastsquares-simultaneous-robust bundle-block adjustment. All images were included in one block. Orthorectification was performed using OrthoVista. The orthoimagery was mosaicked and radiometrically balanced to ensure tonal consistency. The final pixel resolution is half-foot (0.50'). The orthoimagery meets National Map Accuracy Standards.</stepDesc>
